Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.
– Tony Robbins
Similarly with self-talk, asking yourself positive questions is crucial for having a constructive state of mind. This works efficiently because when you ask a positive question, your brain starts to focus on finding the answer to the question, and thus, you feel more confident whilst attaining a state of serenity.
Examples
Here’re some examples of positive questions:
- What do I appreciate most in my life right now?
- What am I happy about in my life?
- What am I excited about right now?
- What am I proud about in my life?
- What can I do to get better today?
Follow the next steps
- Now, you can make your own or write these down.
- Next, I want you to ask them to yourself every morning after flashing out the breathing exercise.
- Make sure that you have intervals of about 1-2 min between each question, so your brain will have time to reflect upon it.
- You must not try to answer the questions or look for a negative answer such as “I don’t have anything to be happy about!” There is always something to be grateful for.
- Let your thoughts bubble up to the surface without trying to ignore or force them. In this way, you can elevate your mood by finding some positive aspects about your life to be happy and grateful for.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this
is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
